'Window' of opportunity for iconic sheffield office building
For many, June signifies the unofficial start of summer. But for Scarborough Group and GMI Property, June was the beginning of something far more significant.
The joint venture company announced that its new office development in Sheffield - informally known as Building 2 Concourse Way - has officially been named as 'Ventana House'.
Reflecting its position as a state-of-the-art building, Ventana - Spanish for 'window' - forms part of the iconic Sheffield Digital Campus scheme, a £10m Grade A office development adjacent to the city's railway station.
Comprising some 50,000 sq ft over five floors, Ventana House features the very latest in building design, and offers the most prominent and advanced office accommodation in Sheffield.
It will also become the new regional headquarters for specialist national and international legal firm Kennedys, which has taken 16,700 sq feet of office space over two floors.
According to the building's owners, the new letting and name 'launch' are part of a series of strategic changes set to take place over the coming months. James Poskitt of GMI Property commented: "The name was chosen to reflect the unique opportunities presented by the building and it is only fitting that it should have an international appeal.
